Installation

Backup Original Firmware

The first step is to make a backup copy of the original firmware. This allows the option of restoring the router to the original state. In order to do this, telnet access must be enabled by accessing the router as follows: http://192.168.1.1/sysinfo123.htm?ConsoleSimulation=1 Then the python-based script jungo-image.py is used to make a backup image using the command: python jungo-image.py -p admin 192.168.1.1

Opening the case

Note: This will void your warranty!

In order to open the case you need to sqeeze the grey plastic on the front above and below the 8 port switch. While squeezing the plastic attempt to tilt the top side of the cover away from the unit. The cover will then come off. The next step would be to slide the top of the unit toward the front. You may need to twist and play with it a little because there are some clips in the back that are hard to get off. Please be careful and take your time trying to get the back off so you do not break the clips.

There is a 10-pin unsoldered header on the motherboard.

GND, RXD, TXD is enought to communicate with device.
WARNING! You need a level converter like MAX232 to connect a PC. RV COM port have 3.3V levels instead of 12V of RS-232.
