Installation

OEM easy installation

The OEM firmware doesn't allow to upgrade to OpenWrt via web interface, it complains about incorrect CRC.

OEM installation using the TFTP method

  • Connect the serial TTL cable to interact with uBoot for loading the firmware via tftp.
  • Start a TFTP server in your PC. Copy the openwrt-ramips-rt305x-smcwbr14s-n3-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin firmware to the server.
  • Rename the firmware to sysupgrade.bin
  • Set the IP at your pc to 10.10.10.3, and connect the ethernet cable to the router.
  • Power on the router and immediately press the 2 key at the serial console. Say yes for flashing the new firmware.
