Installation (WIP)

  • You will need to remove the USB drive found within the EdgeRouter Lite, insert the USB drive into a computer, and then follow the below steps on said computer to flash OpenWrt onto the USB drive.
  • DZU6ixi reported that he/ she was not able to get the router to boot after following the steps below with both of the 15.05 edge router sysupgrade .tar archives. This could only be fixed by installing 14.07 and upgrading to 15.05 afterwards. But always try the latest image first.
  • The closest .tar archive I could find to the one used below (and the one that I got to work) can be found here: https://downloads.openwrt.org/barrier_breaker/14.07/octeon/generic/openwrt-octeon-erlite-sysupgrade.tar
